It is advisable to consult your doctors before commencing on the Tibet Travel. It is more so for the people with heart condition, blood pressure, asthma, bronchitis etc. The clients are likely to experience some discomfort due to the altitude as most of the places in Tibet lie over 4,500m. The symptoms may include headache, mild nausea, and loss of appetite. It is common for couple of days until your body acclimatizes with the height. So it is necessary to take it easy for the first few days. Some of the suggested remedial measures are as follows:
(a) Take plenty of rest
(b) Refrain from physically exhausting activities
(c) Drink plenty of water
(d) Do not expose yourself to direct strong winds particularly your head when atop a pass
(e) Take diamox against altitude sickness
We suggest that you read some good literature on the altitude sickness before you embark upon your journey.
