Nepal is a land of diverse climate and biodiversity due to its very steep topography that has a great variation of altitude. The vegetation ranges from subtropical forests in the southern plains teeming with rare wildlife, to alpine meadows and coniferous forests in the north, which also hosts numerous species of flora and fauna - an impressive 848 species of birds, resident as well as migratory, have been recorded in Nepal so far. So it is possible to travel the entire stretch of the kingdom doing nothing but bird watching. The following itinerary is just one of many itineraries that can be put together to cater to the needs of the most ardent bird lovers and avid wildlife connoisseurs.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu. Meet, accord welcome and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: AM: Tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square (a World Heritage site) and Swayambhunath stupa (a World Heritage site). PM: Tour of Patan Durbar Square (a World Heritage site). Overnight at your hotel. (B)

Day 05: Departure to the domestic airport for flight to Biratnagar. Then drive to Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. Overnight at a wildlife resort. (B/L/D)

Day 06: Full day Jungle Excursion on foot or by boat for bird watching and other wildlife viewing. Overnight at wildlife resort. (B/L/D)

Day 07: Drive Koshi Tappu-Royal Chitwan National Park. Overnight at wildlife resort. (B/L/D).

Day 08: Full day Jungle Safari. Overnight at wildlife resort. (B/L/D).

Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu from Chitwan via Daman. Farewell dinner at a Nepalese restaurant with cultural show. Overnight at your hotel. (B)
