The Trisuli River (grade 3+) is one of the most popular raftable rivers. Due to its proximity to Kathmandu and the easy road access which accompanies it, most rafting companies offer trips on the Trisuli. For first time rafters it offers plenty of excitement. Many choose to incorporate a ride down the Trisuli with either a trip to Pokhara or to the Royal Chitwan National Park.
Day 01 : The first day rafting starts from Charaudi and passes through rapids like Ladies Delight, Monsoon, Upset and Surprise. Upset rapid is encountered after lunch at Trisuli River which demands precise maneuvering and a co-ordinated effort from the guide and crew. The rest of the day is being spent running other good rapids like Surprise and some nice waves before reaching night stop at Kuringtar.
Day 02 : Good Whitewater continues on the 2nd day down to the town of Mugling. There are so many varieties of birds you can see along the river including Ibisbills, Wall Creepers, Scarlet Monivets, Lapwings, River Chats and Kingfishers. We stop for lunch at Five Kilos and spend one hour there. After lunch we continue rafting toward Ghaighat-the ending point of the rafting hitting big rapids downwards, including "S" rapid. Transfer to Chitwan or Pokhara for overnight stay.
