Nepal in a Nutshell I

The Kathmandu valley has been a breeding ground for rich cultural heritage for ages that peaked during the Licchavi era and then in the Malla era, when kings of three cities built magnificent palaces and temples to outdo each other.  The reflection of this “artistic warfare” is still visible around three main city squares of Kathmandu, Patan & Bhaktapur that are adorned by plethora of exquisite temples, palaces, monuments and houses.  The valley, nestled between lush green hills, also abounds of beautiful countryside destinations with breathtaking Himalayas Vistas.   Nagarkot, is one such place situated atop a hill at an altitude of 2175m from where beautiful sunrise and sunsets can be viewed.  During 3 nights in Kathmandu and 1 night in Nagarkot we tour several heritage sites of the valley and hike from Changu to Nagarkot to sample exciting village life, flora and fauna and for beautiful mountain views.
