Bardia National Park


The park is situated in mid-far Western Terai region of the country east of the Karnali River. Conserved since 1976, the park is stretched in an area of 968 square kilometers. Several endangered animals including rhinoceros, wild elephants, tigers, swamp deer, black bucks, gharials, crocodiles and the famous Gangetic dolphins inhabit the park. There are over 30 different mammals and over 200 bird species in the park. It can be reached by flight to Nepalgunj or 12 hours drive from kathmandu.
