Buddha Air is starting its Kathmandu - Varanasi flight from 01st March with 4 times a week operatoin.  The flights will commence on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.  The Kathmandu - Varanasi flight will take off from TIA at 15:00 hours while the return flight from Varanasi will depart 16:15 hours.

The flight is expected to promote more religious tourism between these two destination as Varanasi is considered by Hindus as one of the must-visit holy sites.  The airlines already sarted accepting bookings from 1st Jan 2012.  The airlines has published a promotional fare to facilitate the local pilgrims during its initial period of operation.
